Spotlight: Meet the new managers of Seven Mile Beach Holiday Park in Gerroa

We’re excited to announce that Seven Mile Beach Holiday Park is under new management! But the new boss is no stranger to the park or the community. Having taken over Seven Mile this October 2024, Gordon returns after previously managing the park from 2013 to 2021. Gordon is also the current manager of Surf Beach Holiday Park, bringing his extensive experience and dedication to both locations. With an impressive background in hospitality and holiday parks, Gordon is eager to bring back the award-winning standards and family-oriented experience that made Seven Mile a standout destination.

A Journey Through the Holiday Park Industry
When asked how his journey into the holiday park industry began, Gordon says, "I got my start in 2013 after transitioning from hospitality management. Camping and creating user-friendly experiences have always been my passion." His time at Seven Mile has been nothing short of transformative. "We won the CCIA Best Holiday Park Award for over 100 sites for three consecutive years, from 2016 to 2019. That put us in the Hall of Fame—something no one else had done before!"

Gordon's dedication to customer service and innovation shone through initiatives like pedal car hire, the introduction of fire pits, and the creation of an on-site animal park. His efforts have always been about enhancing guest experiences, ensuring families have more than just a place to stay but a destination full of activities and memories.

Reviving the Seven Mile Experience
Gordon’s vision for Seven Mile is clear: “We aim to focus on the family experience. It’s not just about the beach anymore; we want to offer so much more.” Plans are already in motion to improve the park’s facilities with a fresh facelift and added activities. The park will continue to house its popular bird sanctuary, and a new games room for kids is in the works. “We’re bringing back the Kids Club where they can enjoy activities like kite making and interacting with birds from the aviary."

A Park Like No Other
Seven Mile Beach Holiday Park stands out thanks to its unique location—nestled between the river and the ocean. "It’s ideal for paddleboarding, kayaking, and fishing. We’ve got lifeguards during summer holidays and some of the safest swimming conditions for families. Plus, you can take a short stroll to the local Blue Swimmer Café and treat yourself to some freshly baked goods," Gordon shares.

The park already boasts impressive amenities, from its jumping pillow and two swimming pools to a tennis court and playground. But Gordon isn’t stopping there. A coffee van will soon be added, bringing freshly brewed coffee to guests without them ever having to leave the park.

Making Memories That Last
What drives Gordon in the holiday park industry? "It’s the whole experience. Seeing guests light up when they spot a whale for the first time or watching kids’ excitement over a python in the wild—those are the moments that matter," he says.

As Seven Mile embarks on this exciting new chapter under Gordon’s leadership, guests can expect even more family-focused fun, impeccable service, and unforgettable experiences. Be sure to stop by and see what’s new at the park—you’ll be in for a treat!

We’re looking forward to seeing how these new plans come to life and can’t wait for you to be part of this next chapter at Seven Mile Beach Holiday Park. Keep an eye out for new activities, and don’t forget to check out the live music and family-friendly events that Gordon’s known for!
